On Sunday I had an absolutely lovely day out on the beach with one of my favorite friends. We laid out. We played in the ocean. We played in the pool. Overall, just a really fabulous day.
Then I came back to her house to get my car and go home. But, that was impossible considering I had a flat tire. Darn!
It wasn't terrible right at first because we ended up eating dinner while we waited for Triple A. And I got home alright.
There's something sad about the spare tire....
The real inconvenience was yesterday when I spent TWO HOURS waiting at the tire place. If you ask me (and you should, because I talked to my very car knowledgeable dad about this), that's far to long.
Oh, the perils of living outside of the city.

Oh no! But on the bright side, if you did have a car in the city and this had happened, you would probably have had to wait three-plus hours to get your tire changed because there would be a huge line in front of you. Glad you made it home safe :)
ReplyDeleteThat sucks. Car troubles are never my fave thing, but it could have been worse (and more expensive!). Glad you got to atleast enjoy the day on Sunday.
ReplyDeleteYikes 2 hours? That tire should have given you a massage and made you a cappuccino in that time!

Thank goodness for AAA. They are live savers. At least you weren't stuck in rush hour traffic, in this city, when this happened. Any flat tire is a bad flat tire. Glad all is repaired.
ReplyDeletedramatic sunday!!! :(
ReplyDeleteThat sucks! It's funny though, there have been a lot of car trouble stories in the blogospere today hmmm...
ReplyDeleteomgosh flat tires are the worst! I am so lucky I have a dad who drives out to fix mine, letting me take his truck home ;)

I'm useless on this kind of stuff, I always call the AA. Actually my husband is kind of useless on it too.
ReplyDeleteoh man, what a bummer about the long delay for the tire :(
ReplyDeleteThat's so sad! I'm really sorry :( I hate it when car troubles happen because I am so clueless to know what to do. I hope they were able to fix everything and it wasn't too expensive!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand...last year I was driving to Barcelona to celebrate my bday and I found two flat tires! It costed me fortune to solve it, but now I'm ready to cross the country and if something happens I still have the guarantee...i feel so safe right now!;)
